Unfortunately we have had to postpone this event until Saturday 27th January.

We had concerns about possible adverse weather conditions on Saturday. It looks like the forecast might be OK , but our biggest issue is the availability of water.

In order to have a fire to burn the waste rhododendrons (and bake the potatoes!) we need to have available a large quantity of water to put it out and leave a safe site at the end of the day.

Unfortunately it is very likely that our water source in the walled garden will be frozen - and we can't have a safe fire without water. 

However we would hope to be able to run the event  next weekend on Saturday 27th January, between 10:00am and 3:00pm.  If you want to join us then please get in touch with Fran at pleanfriends@gmail.com
