An oystercatcher family has set up home in the walled garden.
A gravel pile might not be everyone's idea of an ideal home, but a pair of oystercatchers have decided this is just right for them .
They have created a very basic nest on top of a gravel pile in the storage area of the Council yard in the walled garden, and have laid a clutch of three eggs.
We have cordoned off the area so that they remain undisturbed by Council employees working in the yard.
