On a warm Wednesday 8th July this valiant band of volunteers set out to traverse every inch of the Park counting the flower spikes of the greater Butterfly Orchid.
The count has been carried out each year since 2006 creating data to help determine optimum growing conditions for the plant.
The team was smaller this year so congratulations to everyone for their efforts.
This is certainly one of those jobs where many hands make light work so how about joining the volunteers to help out at this event and others throughout the year.
