Drystane Dyking

Good for another 100 years!

On Saturday 10th November a group of Rangers, Friends and other volunteers under the guidance of Alice and Archie from the West of Scotland Dry Stone Walling Association rebuilt a 6 metre section of dyke.

Alice brought with her what seemed to be a never ending supply of scones with butter and jam which went down well and helped to make it a great day for all involved. It was brilliant to see the results of our hard work which has given us a good grounding to enable us to carry out further repairs.

A grant from CSGN made this course possible which proved to be very popular and was oversubscribed. The funding package received allows for further courses to be run and further details will be posted on our website.
